Cabbage with Sausages

My husband pointed out to me that there was cabbage in the fridge screaming to be used, and instead of making a simple salad, I decided to cook it with sausages, and here I present it to you in its purest form.

Ingredients for Cabbage with Sausages

  • 1 cabbage (or Savoy cabbage)
  • 6 sausages
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 1 glass dry white wine

  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

How to Prepare Cabbage with Sausages

  • To prepare, start by removing the tougher outer leaves and slicing the cabbage as finely as possible. Rinse it under cold running water and let the excess water drain.

  • In a large pot, add the extra virgin olive oil, garlic clove, and chili pepper.
    Let them infuse and add the cabbage, stirring often to ensure it cooks well over low heat without burning. Deglaze with white wine, increase the heat, and when the wine has evaporated, cover with a lid and let it wilt for another 5 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, cut the sausages in half or into 3 more or less equal parts if they are too large, then add them to the cabbage in the pan.
