Chocolate Muffins Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 7/10 cups sugar
- 3.5 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2.1 oz dark chocolate
- 1/2 packet baking powder (8 grams)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/3 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 orange zest (untreated)
- as needed powdered sugar (for decoration)
What you need
- Muffin Molds
- Mixer
- Bowls
How to prepare the spiced chocolate muffins
Beat the whole eggs with the sugar using an electric mixer for 6-7 minutes until you have a light and fluffy mixture. Add the melted butter and milk. Mix.
Continue the preparation by adding the sifted flour, unsweetened cocoa, the grated zest of half an untreated orange, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and baking powder. Mix.
Finally, add the dark chocolate in small pieces and mix with a spatula to incorporate it into the batter. Fill the silicone muffin molds 2/3 full with the mixture. If you prefer, you can use paper liners placed in the appropriate muffin tray.
Bake the Chocolate and Spice Muffins in a preheated oven at 356°F (180°C) in static mode for 22-24 minutes. Always perform the toothpick test to check the doneness inside. Let them cool before removing from the mold and decorate them as you wish with powdered sugar
