Ingredients for Baked Fennel

  • 2 fennel
  • 0.5 cup fine cornmeal
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt

How to prepare Fennel with corn flour

  • Clean the fennel by removing the outer parts, stems, and the hardest base. Wash them under running water. Cut them into thin slices. Pour the milk into a bowl and in another bowl mix the grated Parmesan cheese and the corn flour.

  • Dip the fennel slices in the milk and then coat them with corn flour on all sides. Arrange the fennel slices in a large baking dish lined with parchment paper as you prepare them.

  • Add a little salt on top and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Bake the Fennel in a static oven at 375°F for 20 minutes.
