Air Fryer Cookies are delicious Sweets that are easy and quick to make, especially if you have some leftover sugar-free shortcrust pastry or lemon shortcrust pastry!
For this particular recipe, like for the Microwave Cookies, I used the cudduraci dough, but if it’s the right season, we can also make decorated Christmas cookies in the air fryer with the same amounts, procedure, and baking.
Like all my other Air Fryer Recipes this one is also very easy and quick to make, and you will get an easy sweet treat to enjoy for breakfast or to serve to your friends at tea time.

How to prepare the cookies in the air fryer
Put the flour in a bowl along with the sugar and baking powder.
Make a well in the center of the flour and sugar. Add the eggs, softened butter, and lemon zest.
Start mixing with a spoon, then, when the dough becomes more consistent, proceed to knead by hand.
Form a ball with the obtained dough and let it rest in the fridge for at least 20 minutes.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Cut strips and roll them on themselves to get braids.
Place them on the air fryer tray or inside the basket and brush the surface with a beaten egg.
Bake the cookies in the air fryer at 340°F for 12 minutes. Start checking their cooking from nine minutes since it varies from fryer to fryer.
How to store the air fryer cookies
The air fryer cookies can be stored at room temperature for a week.
