Ingredients for Cheese Candle Tartines

  • 6 slices sliced bread
  • 12 slices salami
  • 7 oz asiago cheese
  • 12 pickled onions
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise

How to prepare Tartines with salami and cheese

  • With the help of a round cutter, cut out discs from the slices of sliced bread. I recommend making them the same size as the salami slices. Arrange the bread discs on a baking sheet and let them brown in the oven or in an air fryer for 6-7 minutes at 375°F.

  • Lightly spread the bread slices with mayonnaise. If you prefer, you can skip this step. Cut small blocks from the piece of cheese about 1-1.5 inches high. Now you just have to assemble all the ingredients

  • At the base, the bread crostini, above a slice of salami, the cheese, and on top a small onion. Secure all the ingredients with toothpicks. I divided one in half and with one half secured the bread, salami, and the base of the cheese and with the other half the top part of the cheese and the small onion.

See you tomorrow with a new recipe, hugs, Loredana

Loredana’s Tips

If you want to make the preparation faster, you can replace the bread with ready-made crostini or a round salted cracker or crackers

You can replace asiago cheese with emmental, gouda, or other soft cheese that can be shaped
