Ingredients for Soft Apple Fritters
- 1 egg
- 1 1/8 cups flour
- 0.4 cups milk
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 orange zest (unwaxed)
- 2 apples
- as needed powdered sugar (for decoration)
What you need
- Apple Corer
Preparation of Baked Apple Fritters
Mix the egg with the milk, sugar, and grated zest of an unwaxed orange in a bowl. You can simply mix with a fork.
Add the flour and baking powder and mix well with the fork. You will get a thick and fluid batter.
Peel the two apples, leaving them whole. Now remove the central core with an apple corer and then cut them into slices about 1/4 inch (about 5-6 mm) thick.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dip each apple slice in the batter so that it is well coated on all sides.
Place the slices on the parchment paper slightly spaced apart. Let the Baked Apple Fritters cook in the hot oven in static mode for 16-18 minutes until golden.
Let them cool and then transfer them to a serving plate and then sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
See you tomorrow with a new recipe, a hug, Loredana
