Imagine the delight of digging your spoon into that delicious blackberry crumble. When you taste it, your taste buds will cheer. Fantastic the contrast between the softness of the fruits and the crunchiness of the crumbs that cover them. I could have eaten two servings and hoped, unfortunately in vain, that someone would give up theirs. So let yourself be convinced to try it and I assure you that they will ask you to make it again. And then it’s so easyyyyyy.

Ingredients for 4 blackberry crumbles
- 12 oz blackberries
- zest of half a lemon (untreated)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup butter (+ extra for greasing the ramekins)
Tools
- 2 Bowls
- Grater for citrus
- 4 Ramekins single-serving with a diameter of 4 inches
Preparation of the blackberry crumble
Wash the blackberries, pat them dry with kitchen paper, then place them in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and the zest of half an organic untreated lemon, grated. Mix them and let them rest for at least an hour.
In another bowl, put the all-purpose flour together with the almond flour and the remaining brown sugar (1/4 cup). Mix, then add the cold butter cut into pieces.
Work well with the fingertips until you get a coarse crumb mixture. Once ready, place it in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Lightly butter four small low-edged single-serving ramekins with a diameter of 4 inches. If you prefer, you can make a single crumble, but I assure you that individual servings are much cuter.
Distribute the blackberries inside the four small ramekins and cover them with the prepared crumble.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 20/25 minutes or until the crumble is golden and crispy. Keep an eye on the baking constantly in the last minutes.
Remove the blackberry crumbles from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy! Paola
