Taragna Polenta in the Instant Pot

Taragna Polenta in the Instant Pot is a delicious first course to add to my Multicooker Recipes, very easy to prepare!

After preparing the Taragna Polenta in jar cooking and after explaining How to Make Polenta with an Instant Pot, I couldn’t help but prepare the taragna polenta in the instant pot, which is very easy and perfect to serve during the last cold days before spring really starts!

This is one of the Italian Recipes with Instant Pot that might be the easiest I’ve ever done! Because you just have to pour everything into the pot, stir, and cook, then season with fontina and butter and serve it hot!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1.5 cup buckwheat flour (for polenta)
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 3.5 oz fontina cheese
  • 1.5 oz butter

What You Need to Cook Taragna Polenta

  • 1 multicooker

How to Prepare Taragna Polenta in the Instant Pot

  • Put the water in the instant pot, close the lid and bring to a boil using the high pressure function.

    As soon as the water starts boiling, turn off the pot, release the steam, and open the lid.

    At this point, add the coarse salt and extra virgin olive oil.

    Add the buckwheat flour for polenta gradually and stir immediately with a hand whisk to avoid lumps.

    Once mixed well, close the lid again and start cooking for 10 minutes using the low pressure function.

    When the polenta is cooked, turn off the pot, release the steam, and open the lid.

  • Cut the fontina and butter into cubes.

    As soon as you open the lid, add butter and fontina to the polenta and stir vigorously to combine them.

    Serve the taragna polenta in the instant pot still hot and stringy.

The taragna polenta in the instant pot can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
