The crunchy chips have the shape of irregular triangular chips. This is the latest recipe I tried out in my precious air fryer where everything is easier and faster. In just a few minutes, I obtained a tasty appetizer that everyone loves. One chip leads to another, alternating with our beloved Apulian olives which could certainly not be missing from this appetizer.
- Difficulty: Easy
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 3
- Cooking methods: Air Frying
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All Seasons
Ingredients
- 1 flatbread
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste oregano
- to taste fine salt
Tools
- Parchment Paper
- Air Fryer
- Scissors
Steps
Place the flatbread on parchment paper, oil on both sides with extra virgin olive oil.
Sprinkle with fragrant Apulian oregano, preferably not last year’s, but the fresh one from this year on both sides.
Salt and cut the flatbread into many triangular pieces with scissors.
Line the basket with parchment paper and place the pieces of flatbread inside. It doesn’t matter if some are overlapping, one flatbread is fine.
Cook for ten minutes. Open the fryer, mix, and cook for another two minutes. Your crunchy oregano flatbread will be beautifully golden, fragrant, and… so crunchy.
You can use these crunchy chips as an appetizer, and served with brined Apulian olives, they will be greatly appreciated.
Tips
The oil should coat the flatbread well without overdoing it.
