Panna cotta with caramelized peaches, a very simple summer dessert to prepare, perfect for ending a dinner with friends. A variation of white chocolate panna cotta, equally delicious and quick to prepare.
I confess that I don’t often make this type of dessert, and my husband often reminds me because he loves it so much. It’s so easy and quick to prepare that it’s really worth it. You have to wait a few hours for the panna cotta to set, but it’s really worth it to plunge the spoon into this delight.
You can enrich it as you wish: with pistachio cream, spreadable cream, or berries sautéed in a pan with lemon juice and sugar until you get a sort of compote. Today, however, I leave you the version with caramelized peaches, quickly sautéed in a pan with brown sugar and Marsala.
For the kids, don’t worry, because the alcoholic part will evaporate during cooking, leaving only the scent of the fortified wine. You can still replace Marsala with orange juice. And now, let’s go to the kitchen together, because the panna cotta with caramelized peaches will be ready in a click!

Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp gelatin sheets
- vanillin
- 2 peaches
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1.5 tbsp Marsala
- mint (fresh, to taste)
Tools
- Bowl
- Cutting board
- Knife
- Saucepan
- Skillet non-stick
- 4 Bowls
Steps
First, soak the gelatin sheets in a bowl with cold water for at least 10 minutes. Meanwhile, put the cream with the powdered sugar and vanillin or vanilla, if you prefer, in a saucepan and bring to heat, stirring, until just below boiling.
Then remove from heat and add the squeezed gelatin sheets. Stir until well dissolved and pour into the 4 jars or glass bowls. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, until the cream is set.
Now take care of preparing the caramelized peaches. Wash them, dry them, and cut them in half. Remove the pit and cut into slices about 1/3 inch thick. They should not be too large because they will be used for garnishing.
Heat a non-stick skillet very well and add the peach slices without adding any type of seasoning. Also add the sugar and let caramelize for a few minutes on low heat. When the peach slices are golden, add the Marsala and allow the alcohol to evaporate. Then continue cooking for a few more minutes until the liquid is thickened. Turn off the heat and set aside.
Now take the cream that has now solidified and add the caramelized peaches to each jar with a bit of the cooking sauce. Finally, add some mint leaves and serve at the table.
