Mint Syrup Without Dyes

This mint syrup without dyes also has no preservatives. Therefore, it should be consumed quickly, within no more than two days. It is made with fresh mint leaves. Mint sprouts mainly in spring, but it can also be found in mild climates during winter. Its remarkable scent is intense and leaves a pleasant feeling and fresh breath in the mouth for a long time. Mint syrup not only refreshes but also aids digestion. I found a way to obtain a hot drink for winter and a cool one for summer. Great to drink at any time.

Ingredients

  • 0.7 oz Mint (Fresh, only the leaves)
  • 4 glasses Water (natural)

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, pour the water and add the brown sugar. Heat on the flame and stir with the spoon until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool.

  • In the meantime, take the most intact mint leaves from the plant in your garden or balcony. Wash thoroughly several times.

  • Pour some sweetened water into the food processor. Add the washed fresh mint leaves.

  • Blend together for one or two minutes. Pour everything into a jug and also add the lemon juice.

  • Place in the fridge to steep for two hours. Strain the mint syrup and drink the cool beverage or you can also heat it if you want a herbal tea.

  • If you wish, you can also make a mint granita by putting it in the freezer for an hour. To prevent it from freezing too much, take it out of the freezer occasionally and stir with a teaspoon.

Mint Syrup Without Dyes

As you can see, the mint syrup without dyes has a different color compared to the purchased one (it might look like a glass of Coca-Cola), but I can assure you that its flavor far surpasses it when you drink it. Also, come check out Pinterest of The Cook Who Recovers
