The puff pastry pizzettes are easy to prepare for appetizers at receptions, buffets, finger food, they are quick and easy to make with ready-to-use rolled pastry.
For the first time, I wanted to vary by using fennel seeds on some along with the tomato sauce and more.
Fennel seeds not only make dishes more appetizing but also more digestible.
I would say they turned out well and, in fact, one leads to another, they were snapped up.
I particularly appreciated those with fennel seeds, which is one of my favorite spices in cooking. I recommend trying them to experience it.

- Cost: Medium
- Preparation time: 20 Minutes
- Cooking time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 4 People
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 4.6 oz Puff Pastry (Already rolled out)
- Eggs (1 yolk)
- 3 fillets Anchovies
- 1 clove Garlic
- to taste Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3.5 oz Cooked Ham (Or turkey breast)
- 3.5 oz Asiago
- to taste Fennel Seeds
Preparation
In a pan, dissolve the anchovies in extra virgin olive oil (three tablespoons) heated with the peeled and halved garlic. Add the blended tomatoes and cook the sauce for ten minutes.
Press on the open puff pastry with a cookie cutter, or a glass, to get many pizzettes. Prick with a fork and brush with the beaten egg.
Top some of the pizzettes with sauce and turkey breast, and prepare some in white with fennel seeds and cheese. To give the idea of flowers, roll the cold cuts.
Bake in a preheated oven at 536°F for about fifteen minutes. Let them cool and serve at the table, perhaps completing with a fresh salad. And to vary, here’s a similar recipe to try: Mini Pizzettes also made with puff pastry.
