- Lemon juice (Juice from 2 lemons)

- 4 1/4 cups Milk
- 2/3 cup Sugar
- 1/3 cup Flour
- 4 Eggs
- Lemon zest (1 untreated lemon)
Tools
- Pan
- Rolling pin
- Pie pan
Preparation
Sift the flour together with the vanillin and baking powder in a container. Add the softened butter in pieces, grated lemon zest, and eggs.
Knead with your hands to form a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and let rest in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and line a buttered and floured pie pan.
Prick the base with a fork and bake the tart for 25/30 minutes at 350°F.
Watch through the oven glass to check the cooking. In the meantime, prepare the cream.
Boil the milk in a saucepan with lemon peels.Mix the eggs with sugar and flour in a pan. Gradually pour in the boiling milk while continuously stirring (to avoid lumps in the cream) until it thickens, about twelve/thirteen minutes.
Pour the warm lemon cream over the baked tart, and decorate with strawberries and bananas that have been washed and marinated with the juice of two lemons and a tablespoon of sugar.
Serve the tart after lunch, dinner, and even as a snack.
The tart with strawberry and banana cream is not only delicious but also a way to teach the laziest to eat fruit.
Hopefully, we can finally say we succeeded. 🙂
Finally, cut into small pieces. Surely it’s better if they ask for seconds rather than throwing it away.
In any case, offer it with a good glass of iced tea or a soft drink.
Tart with Strawberry and Banana Cream
Tart with strawberry and banana cream: Store in the fridge if there are leftovers, but not for more than three days. Although personally, I prefer it without gelatine, it can be added if desired. However, you can also add and use up other fruits as you see fit. In any case, the decoration is key. If the tart is appealing, it will consequently be a success. Moreover, if we don’t succeed, we can think of another strategy. Never give up. Eventually, they will grow up and learn to eat everything.
Just like it was for us.
