Chocolate Cake in Air Fryer

Chocolate cake in air fryer, a very simple and super-fast dessert, perfect for everyday snacks and breakfasts. The air fryer is increasingly used to prepare many delicacies. The other day I received an unexpected but very appreciated package! I’ll just tell you it said “Homemade by Benedetta”.

You can’t imagine my excitement seeing it. So much so that I opened it only a few hours later, after recovering, of course. This package contained an air fryer, gifted to many bloggers by Benedetta Rossi, Giallozafferano, and Altervista, during a meeting at the headquarters scheduled in a few days.

What could I do, wait? Of course not! I then thought of making a cake, my first cake in the fryer. Yes, because despite having one, I must confess I had not yet prepared any. This dessert is made in a few minutes and takes very little time to cook, less than a traditional oven.

With plenty of cocoa, without butter, and with the crunchiness of hazelnuts on top, this delight was a hit! Well, after the thrill of opening this wonderful gift, I now have the thrill and happiness of sharing my recipe with you to try. Curious to find out how to prepare it? Then let’s go to the kitchen, because the chocolate and hazelnut cake in the air fryer will be ready in a click!

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • oz sugar
  • 1¼ cups oz all-purpose flour
  • oz unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsps oz oat milk
  • 2 tbsps oz vegetable oil
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • vanillin (to taste)

Tools

  • Air Fryer
  • Beater
  • Bowl

Steps

  • First, work the eggs with sugar using an electric mixer for at least 10 minutes. They should become light and frothy. Then add the milk and oil, still beating the mixture. Once combined, add the flour, cocoa, vanillin, and baking powder, and continue mixing until the batter is smooth and lump-free.

Next, transfer the batter to a cake tin 8 inches in diameter that fits in the air fryer’s basket. Smooth it out and add coarsely chopped toasted hazelnuts on top.

Bake the cake in the air fryer at 320°F for 15 minutes and another 10 minutes at 356°F, using the toothpick test to check doneness. Do not open the basket before 20 minutes of baking the cake, as it might ruin the cake.
