Ingredients
- 2 lemons
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 30 leaves mint
- 2 cups water
- cubes ice (as needed)
- 4 slices lemon
- mint (for garnish)
Tools
- Cutting Board
- Knife
- Small Pot
- Pitcher
- Citrus Juicer
Steps
For this recipe, I used untreated organic lemons. Squeeze one lemon and pour it into a small pot. Then add the sugar and put it on the heat. Bring to a boil, stirring, until the sugar is dissolved. Then set aside and let it cool.
In the meantime, wash the mint leaves thoroughly and dry them with a towel or paper towels. Squeeze the other lemon and pour it into a pitcher. You can also strain it if you want. Then add the syrup, water, and mint leaves and stir. Then place in the fridge to rest for at least half an hour.
After the resting time, which is essential for the mint to release its aroma, place two half lemon slices in a glass. Then add some ice cubes and pour the drink. Decorate with a sprig of mint and serve.
