The Christmas spritz is an easy and aromatic cocktail, perfect for the Christmas holidays. A very simple aperitif to replicate at home and closely reminiscent of the classic spritz recipe. Therefore, it is suitable for entertaining your guests before serving Christmas lunch or dinner and Christmas Eve. To prepare it, I used the base of the classic spritz: prosecco, Aperol, and orange juice, to which I added sparkling water and pomegranate juice to give a Christmas color tone. Then I decorated the aperitif with sprigs of rosemary and red currants. Alternatively, you can use pomegranate seeds to make this cocktail even more Christmas-like.
This pomegranate spritz is prepared in just a few minutes. It will surely be your cocktail to serve as an aperitif and pairs perfectly with any buffet finger food, refreshing the palate between one taste and another. To make it non-alcoholic, simply replace Aperol with a non-alcoholic beverage. Now, pitcher and glasses at hand, because this Christmas spritz will be ready in a click!

Steps
First, squeeze the oranges and set them aside. I used 3, but it obviously depends on the size. You should obtain the juice quantity indicated above: 100 ml. Pour prosecco, Aperol, orange juice, pomegranate juice, and sparkling water into the pitcher and stir with a spoon.
Shortly before serving, rub an orange slice on the rim of the glasses. Then place the rim on a plate where you’ve put some sugar. Then put some ice cubes in the glasses. Add an orange slice and pour the cocktail. Finally, decorate with some currants and a sprig of rosemary.
