Creamy Veal Bites

The creamy veal bites are a delicious and simple second course to prepare, perfect for an everyday dinner or with friends and family. I already had you try the veal bites alla pizzaiola and the chicken strips with peppers and olives, and I know you liked them a lot. So I thought of proposing this variation too, with a delicious creamy sauce.

It only takes a few simple steps to make this creamy second course, which will surely please both adults and children at home. To prepare these creamy bites, you only need a few ingredients that we all certainly have in the pantry and fridge: butter, flour, milk, and saffron to give a touch of color.

A tasty and delicate second course, where the turkey breast cut into chunks perfectly blends with the delicacy of the milk. A few minutes to brown the floured bites in oil, and then they are left to cook for a few minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the delicious creamy sauce with fresh spreadable cheese, milk, and saffron to add when cooking is almost finished. Be sure to cook them for only a short time after adding the cream. This way, a delicious creamy sauce will form that is finger-licking good!

Easy and light, these pan-cooked veal bites will make you look great even for a last-minute dinner. Last tip: prepare a lot of bread, because making a “scarpetta” (sopping up sauce with bread) is a must! Now follow me in the kitchen, because the creamy veal bites will be ready in a click!

  • 1 glass white wine
  • chopped parsley (as needed)
  • salt (as needed)

Tools

Steps

  • First, cut the veal breast into pieces. Then pass them in flour, making sure to shake off the excess flour. Brown the veal bites for a few minutes in oil over high heat, and when they are well browned on all sides, deglaze with white wine. Let the alcohol evaporate, season with salt, and cook over low heat for 8 minutes with the lid on.

Meanwhile, put the creamy fresh cheese, milk, saffron packets in a bowl, and mix until you have a smooth and colored cream. After the cooking time, open the lid and add the cream just prepared. Continue cooking for a few minutes, stirring so that it mixes with the meat, then remove from the heat.
