- 3 zucchini
- 1 cup ricotta
- 1 cup smoked cheese
- 1/4 cup Parmigiano Reggiano DOP (grated)

Steps
First, preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C) to have it ready for baking the savory pie. Then clean the zucchini by washing them and removing the ends. Grate them with a coarse grater into a bowl.
Also grate the smoked cheese and put both ingredients in a bowl. Then add the ricotta, grated cheese, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well with a spoon until the ingredients are well combined.
Unroll the puff pastry and place it on a 9.5-inch diameter baking tray with its parchment paper. Prick the bottom with a fork and pour in the zucchini and ricotta mixture, distributing it evenly.
Bake the zucchini rustic in a fan oven at 356°F (180°C) for 30 minutes. Of course, cooking times are relative as they depend on the type of oven you have.

I usually serve this dish hot, but it is also delicious when served cold for a picnic.
