Preparation of butter cookies

  • In a bowl, mix the sifted flour, room temperature butter, sugar, egg, and salt. Work quickly until you have a smooth dough, which you will scent with the grated zest of one orange. Cover our butter dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes wrapped in plastic wrap. This will make it much crumblier.

  • After the resting time, using a rolling pin and a pinch of flour, roll out the dough to 1/8 inches thick. Use cookie cutters to shape the desired cookies. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a static oven at 350°F for about 12 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.

  • Melt the two types of chocolate with the butter. Once the cookies are cool, dip them halfway. Let them cool on parchment paper or a wire rack.
