Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 7 oz red wine (Or white wine)
- 6 oz olive oil (Light or Cuore oil)
- 2 tbsp Sugar (Plus extra for garnish)
- to taste vanilla flavor
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 packet baking powder for desserts
Steps
Mix the wine, sugar, and oil, vanilla flavor, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Add the sifted flour and baking powder.
2. Once the dough is well mixed and compact, cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for about twenty minutes.
3. Break off pieces of dough and form small rolls, then join the ends to form small rings. Or, make braids and top with an almond.
4. Dip the rings in granulated sugar (it’s okay to do just one side). Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, with the sugared side up.
5. Bake at 340 °F and cook for about 30 minutes.
6. Remove the rings from the oven, let them cool, and serve.
