Ingredients for Nutella puff pastry Christmas trees in air fryer:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 6 tablespoons Nutella
  • to taste hazelnut crumbs
  • to taste milk
  • to taste candied ginger
  • to taste candied papaya (or candied cherries)

Tools for Nutella puff pastry Christmas trees in air fryer:

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Pastry wheel

Steps for preparing and cooking Nutella puff pastry Christmas trees in air fryer:

  • Unroll the rectangular sheet of puff pastry, spread the Nutella on half of the pastry and use a spatula to level it well over the puff pastry.

Then fold the side without Nutella over the side with Nutella and press lightly, then use a pastry wheel or pizza cutter to cut out 8 strips of about 1.2 inches.

  • Shape the trees by folding each strip in a zig-zag pattern, starting from a wide base and narrowing towards the top. Skewer each tree to maintain its shape.

  • Place the trees on the air fryer rack, brush them with milk, and sprinkle with hazelnut crumbs.

Cook at 320°F for about 10 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking.

While the trees are cooking, if you want a more refined presentation, you can make stars with candied ginger or papaya, or alternatively, you can use candied cherries (8 are enough).

Once the trees are done, let them cool and then decorate them with the prepared stars or cherries.
