How to prepare orange chicken in multicooker
Place the chicken thighs in a bowl along with the two peeled and crushed garlic cloves, paprika and cumin.
Add salt, pepper, and extra virgin olive oil.
Cut one orange and squeeze half directly into the bowl.
Mix to distribute the flavors into the chicken.
Pour two nice drizzles of oil into the multicooker.
Peel the onions and slice them thinly.
Place the onions inside the multicooker with a pinch of salt and sauté, using the “fry” function at 392°F for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Once the onions are golden, add the chicken.
Sear the chicken, still using the “fry” function at 392°F for another 5 minutes.
Deglaze with the juice of the other orange and the bowl’s contents.
Close the pot, and cook using the “pressure” function for 15 minutes.
At the end of cooking, add half of the remaining orange sliced and chopped parsley.
If necessary, reduce the cooking liquid for a few minutes at 392°F.
Serve hot.
