Royal icing or royal glaze…Cookies also become beautiful…

A glaze that will help you decorate your treats with delicacy, color, and sweetness.

Easy to make, and fun to use because you can unleash your creativity, also preparing small subjects to decorate your preparations.

Widely used in Sardinia to decorate small pastries, masterpieces are created.

It colors easily and over time you can create delicate decorations.

I learned step by step, now I enjoy creating small decorative figures, but I would need a 48-hour day to do everything that comes to mind, and of course, I would also need to consume…

Only 3 ingredients and a lot of patience are needed.

I use fresh egg whites from my hens, at room temperature, carefully sifted powdered sugar, and a few drops of lemon.

And when necessary, I get creative with colors.

I usually use it during the Christmas or Easter period, now I will show you how to proceed…Before having the blog, I didn’t take many photos, and as I often say, I lost many recipes along the way, because I didn’t have the habit of writing down the ingredients; the birth of the blog allowed me to have a track of my preparations…

Later I will suggest the bases on which you can use royal icing

Steps

A very simple and quick preparation to make.

  • Start beating the egg whites, and when they are white and frothy, start pouring in the powdered sugar; add the lemon and continue until fully incorporated; the white mass should be glossy and firm

  • If you already have an idea of what to decorate, you can divide it into parts to color according to your needs.
