Carnival lies recipe
And like every year, I find myself here making lies, lucky to always have an excuse to lock myself in the kitchen and leave the rest of the world outside…Then Valentine’s Day will come… But we’ll talk about it later.
Indeed, this year I went wild with carnival recipes, but classic lies cannot be missing.
I used moscato, a sweet wine from the Langa region, which, besides sweetening the dough, gives a muscat grape scent, enhancing its olfactory properties.
I like to mess around and so I cut different shapes… As usual, someone interrupted my imaginative wanderings and I returned to reality. I had to hurry and leave the house
One day I’ll tell you what I did… Actually, if you’d like to discover more about my life, you’ll find information on my presentation page. Just look for it in the menu.

Steps
Lies are very easy to make and also fun… Get creative with the shapes!
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well
The result will be a firm and homogeneous dough
Roll out and cut the lies. The sheet must be thin. Prepare the pan with seed oil and the tray with kitchen paper to drain the freshly fried lies.
The lies are exquisite, I enjoy cutting them into multiple shapes. Even crunchy curls
Hearts, stars…
Masks…
The lies keep for one or two days, then they become less crunchy. You can optionally fill them with jam.
