How to prepare a fragrant mix of herbs for the kitchen. My herbs…When scents enter the kitchen!
I am passionate about herbs, I collect them and always use them in the kitchen.
I created my own aromatic blend…Wandering around various places, certain aromatic notes stuck with me, and I wanted to recreate the same taste…And olfactory perception.
I partially succeeded, it takes me back to the lands from which I drew the fragrances that rise when the wind blows, or simply the gentle morning breeze or, the scorching summer days of our Mediterranean.
They are all fragrances of the Mediterranean scrub, which when mixed, create a particular aroma.
It smells of the ancient and the fresh, of the sea and the woods…It adds that special aroma that stays with you over time.
Perhaps I am too poetic, but that’s exactly what I was looking for in reproducing the same sensations.
They are herbs and aromas that I grow in my garden, so I always have them available to use individually, together they give an extra touch.
I use this mix in many preparations.
Plus, at Christmas, it becomes a great gift placed in small glass or ceramic containers, or it will serve as a base for a great aromatic vinegar…But I’ll talk about that next time!
You’ll need a bunch of each fresh or dried herb listed below…to prepare My herbs…When scents enter the kitchen!
