- Difficulty: Very Easy
- Cost: Very Cheap
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 20 pieces
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: Easter
Ingredients
- 2 puff pastry
- 7 oz cooked ham
- 5 oz provola cheese
Steps
Take the puff pastry out of the fridge 10 minutes before using.
Cut 7 strips from one puff pastry by cutting from the shorter side, another 7 from another, and 1 strip from the third puff pastry. You’ll need 15 strips approximately 2 inches wide.
Stuff with the ham and provola, fold some puff pastry over the filling and roll up.
Then make the lamb’s face, it’s a sort of oval 4 inches x 5 inches composed of two puff pastry ovals, cut it on a piece of paper, place it in position, and if it fits, cut the puff pastry.
Cut 4 rectangles of 1 inch x 5, fold in half and make the legs.
For a puffier face, I recommend stuffing it with ham and provola or parchment paper.
Once the shape is made, mark the eyes and nose with juniper berries or black peppercorns, bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
Bon appétit
