Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp orange flavor (orange blossom)
- 1 packet vanillin
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp fresh yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsps candied fruits
- 1 egg white
- as needed granulated sugar
- 1 dried bean (or a coin)
Steps
Dissolve the yeast in milk, pour the flour into the mixer, add the milk, then the sugar and butter, start kneading, add the grated citrus peels or the vanillin.
Form a ball and place the dough in a bowl covered with plastic wrap until it doubles, about 3-4 hours.
After rising, take the dough, add the candied fruits and the coin wrapped in foil or a bean, then remake the ball and roll it out with a rolling pin to a height of approximately 1 inch.
Make cuts without reaching the center, I made it smaller, so only 10 cuts instead of 16.
Turn them over themselves, then place it in a round pan to rise, about 40 minutes.
Brush with the egg white and add the granulated sugar.
Bake in the hot oven at 392 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes.
With the bimby: Pour the milk and yeast into the bowl, 40 sec speed 2
Add the sugar, butter, flour, salt, eggs, vanillin or chopped citrus peels, 3 minutes kneading button.
Bon appétit
