Steps
Here’s how to prepare air fryer panzerotti in a few simple steps!
Take the slices of scamorza cheese and cooked ham. If the slices are too large, cut them in half.
Unroll the pizza dough and, using a pastry cutter, cut out circles. I used this large ravioli cutter.
Please, do not waste the leftover dough! With the leftover dough, make a ball, roll it out with a rolling pin and shape another disk!
Place a slice of cooked ham and a slice of scamorza cheese in the center of each disk. Fold into a half-moon and seal the edges well, pressing with your fingers or a fork.
Place the panzerotti in the air fryer basket, brush or spray a little oil on top, and cook at 375°F for 10 minutes, turning them halfway through
When they are golden and crispy, take them out and enjoy them hot and cheesy!
Storage
The panzerotti are best freshly made, but you can store them in the fridge for 1 day and reheat them in the air fryer or oven to make them crispy again.
Tips
• Seal the edges well to prevent the filling from leaking during cooking.
• Don’t overfill them, or it will be difficult to close them.
• Delicious variations: try with mozzarella and salami, ricotta and spinach, or tomato and oregano!
