Desert Roses with Hazelnuts

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (I used whole wheat)
  • 1/2 cup hazelnuts
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Steps

  • Coarsely chop the hazelnuts with a mixer or knife.

  • Place the egg with the sugar in a bowl and whisk a little.

  • Add the flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt, and the coarsely chopped hazelnuts.

  • Work the dough, add the butter cut into pieces, and mix everything well.

  • Form balls about the size of a walnut, mine are larger but I recommend making them small so they cook better and faster.

  • Roll them in the cereals and place them on the baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  • Place on a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes at 356°F
