The recipe to make these delicious chocolate pandoro logs is pretty simple, you will need ingredients you might have at home, obviously pandoro slices, chocolate, and the ingredients for the custard.

Pandoro is perfect for this recipe but you can always use panettone or the classic sponge cake and include in your Christmas menu a simple and beautiful dessert to look at, no need to be a pastry chef to make them.

Pandoro logs with chocolate

Ingredients

  • 2 slices pandoro
  • 1/2 cup custard
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3.5 oz chocolate
  • 1/4 cup milk

Steps

  • Prepare the custard by following THIS RECIPE adding the cocoa to the flour, put it in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let it cool, even in the freezer if you’re in a hurry.

  • Melt the chocolate with the milk and set aside.

  • Cut a slice of pandoro in half lengthwise to obtain 2 thinner slices then cut them into 3 pieces each and flatten them with the rolling pin.

  • Fill with the cream, roll them up and arrange on a serving plate, cover with chocolate then use a fork to draw wood grain.

  • Decorate with red fruits or candied cherries or candied fruit or almond slivers or sprinkles.

  • Let the chocolate dry and serve.
