Ingredients for the preparation of Mediterranean mozzarella bites

  • 7 oz mozzarella bites
  • 3.5 oz cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp pickled capers
  • 1 tbsp pine nuts
  • 10 black olives
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 4 leaves basil
  • to taste fine salt
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Steps for the preparation of Mediterranean mozzarella bites

To prepare the delicious Mediterranean mozzarella bites, start by thoroughly washing the cherry tomatoes under running water. Then pat them dry with absorbent paper.

  • Cut them on a cutting board into 4 parts. Pour them into a bowl and add the drained black olives.

  • Drain the mozzarella bites well and add them along with the oregano and drained capers and pine nuts toasted in a pan for 2 minutes without oil and butter.

  • Season with extra virgin olive oil and salt, mix gently, and let it marinate for about ten minutes. Serve and enjoy, from Barbara!

Storage and tips

Store the Mediterranean mozzarella bites in an airtight container for 24 hours.

If possible, season at the last minute.

If you see too much liquid at the bottom, drain and plate again with only the solid ingredients.

To take it to the office or on a trip, store the dressing and ingredients in two separate containers and combine them just before enjoying.
