Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp fresh yeast
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 apple
  • 1/3 cup apricot jam
  • 2 tbsp butter

Steps

  • Pour the flour into a large bowl, add the crumbled yeast and sugar, mix the powders, then gradually add the egg and milk.

  • Work for about ten minutes or until the dough is nice and smooth, add the softened butter in pieces little by little and finally a pinch of salt.

  • Form a ball and let it rest for 1 hour in a bowl covered with plastic wrap.

  • After the time has passed, fold the dough and put it back in the bowl, cover it, and let it double in volume, about 2-3 hours.

  • Once risen, divide the dough into 8 pieces, my pieces were 60 grams.

  • Cut the apple into small cubes, take the pieces and flatten them in the palm of your hand, fill with 1 teaspoon of jam and apple pieces, close the balls underneath and place them in a pan, side by side.

  • Let it rest for 20 minutes, preheat the oven, and bake. Bake at 350°F for about 12-15 minutes.

  • Remove from oven, let cool and dust with powdered sugar.
