Chocolate Semifreddo Log

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cups mascarpone
  • 1/2 cup cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups cups heavy whipping cream
  • 3 oz oz white chocolate
  • 3/4 cup cup cocoa cookies (or sponge cake)
  • 3 1/2 tbsp tbsps butter
  • 2 oz oz dark chocolate (or milk chocolate)

Steps

  • For the recipe, I used leftover cocoa biscuit dough from THIS recipe HERE but cookies are perfect, crumble them and add the melted butter, mix well.

  • Create a sort of cylinder, wrap it in parchment paper and place in the fridge.

  • Melt the white chocolate with 1/4 cup of cream.

  • Whip the rest of the cream with the mascarpone and sugar, add the chocolate and mix well.

  • Melt the dark chocolate with 1 tablespoon of milk or water.

  • Place the mousse on a sheet of parchment paper, make a rectangle about 6 inches wide, place the roll of cookies or sponge cake in the center, drizzle with the melted dark chocolate.

  • Roll with the paper and place in the freezer for a couple of hours.

  • Remove from the freezer 20 minutes before serving, decorate with melted chocolate or Nutella and serve.
