Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsps sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1.75 oz sourdough starter (or 1 tsp of instant yeast)
- 1 pinch vanillin
- 3 tbsps candied fruits
- 5 tbsps lard (or oil)
Steps
The sourdough starter should be refreshed and active, dissolve it with a bit of milk, add the eggs, sugar, mix then add the lard, the flour gradually and work it.
Add the vanillin, the candied fruits and knead well, if necessary add a little milk then form a ball and let it rest for a couple of hours, then take the dough again, form a ball and put it in a greased baking pan.
Let it rest until doubled then preheat the oven to 355°F, bake and cook for about 30 minutes, do a toothpick test before taking it out.
