- Difficulty: Very Easy
- Cost: Very Cheap
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 9
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All Seasons
Ingredients
- 1 puff pastry
- 3.5 oz speck
- 7 oz provola
Steps
Take the puff pastry out of the fridge 10 minutes before using it, then place it on the work surface and divide it into 9 pieces.
Fold it in half and twist the short sides over each other like a candy, keep the center open for the filling pocket.
Prick the pastry with a fork, place a small ball of paper in each pocket then place the boats on the baking tray close to each other but separate them with parchment paper.
The paper helps them not stick to each other but by staying close they will maintain the upright position, if you space them out they will spread and open.
Bake in the preheated oven at 356°F for about ten minutes, the air fryer is also perfect for 4 minutes after stuffing with another 2 minutes.
Remove from the oven and stuff with speck and pieces of provola, return to the oven and bake for another 4 minutes or so.
Bon appétit
