Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 7 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp instant yeast for savory preparations
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 23 slices cooked ham
  • 2.5 oz provola cheese

Steps

  • Pour the flour into a bowl with the yeast, add water and oil, knead well and quickly, then roll out the dough on the floured surface.

  • Cut out 4-inch circles, you should get 12, and make a 3/4-inch hole in the center.

  • Stuff half of the discs with ham and provola in pieces, then pair with the other half of the discs and seal the edges, both outer and inner, by pressing with your fingertips.

  • Place the donuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with oil, then bake in a hot oven at 350°F for about 15 minutes.
