Ingredients
- 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 3.5 tbsp water
- 1 tsp instant yeast for savory preparations
- 3.5 tbsp tomato sauce
- 2.8 oz mozzarella (approximately)
Steps
Pour the flour into a bowl or mixer, add the yeast and mix, add the egg and water, knead well until smooth.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut 4-5 discs of 4 inches.
Stuff with tomato sauce and a piece of mozzarella or provola, then fold in half and seal the edges.
Cook in the air fryer, preheat it to 375°F for 5 minutes, then place parchment in the basket, position the panzerotti, oil them well, and bake.
Cook for 7 minutes at 365°F, then flip them and cook for another 5 minutes, of course, you can fry them in a pan with plenty of oil or in the traditional oven at 390°F for about 15 minutes.
