Today we talk about crostini with goat cheese, honey, and walnuts, a delight that plays on the contrasts of textures, fragrances, and aromas, in a chic appetizer that is very easy, delicious, and quick to make. I will prepare it for Christmas lunch, but in reality, it is perfect for all year round and for all festive occasions. It is a recipe that belongs to the so-called finger food category, that is, all those preparations that can be comfortably eaten with hands, without contravening the rules of “Bon Ton”. I love them, especially because they significantly reduce the amount of dishes and cutlery to wash, and this is an element not to be overlooked, especially during festive periods..

Ingredients
- 1 baguette (or gluten-free bread)
- 7 oz spreadable goat cheese
- 20 shelled walnuts
- as needed wildflower honey (or maple syrup)
Tools
- 1 Wooden Spoon Honey Dipper
- 1 Knife
Steps
Preparing these crostini is very easy and quick.
Let’s start by shelling the walnuts. Remove the waste parts and chop them with a pestle or with your hands in a dish.
Cut the baguette into slices about a finger thick.
With a butter knife or spoon, take some goat cheese and spread it on the crostini, without pressing the cheese too much.
Once we have finished spreading the cheese on all the crostini, cover them with the walnut crumbs and place them on a serving dish. We can also prepare them well in advance, taking care to store them tightly closed in a cake carrier.
Finally, we will add a drizzle of wildflower honey at the moment of serving; alternatively, the diners themselves can add it to taste, using the classic honey dipper (preferably small ones, like those 10 centimeters long), or teaspoons or coffee sticks.
Bon appetit
