Confit cherry tomatoes in a pan
  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Very economical
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 2-4
  • Cooking methods: Stovetop
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Spring, Summer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cherry tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 clove garlic

Steps

  • Wash the cherry tomatoes well, then cut them in half and remove the seeds, pat them dry and place them in a skillet.

  • Add oil, season with sugar and salt, thinly sliced garlic, I didn’t add it, then let cook on low heat until they dry a little but do not let them dry out, they should only soften and cook without burning.

  • Add some thyme leaves as well, I used oregano, a spice mix is also perfect if you prefer.

    Bon appétit

The tomatoes are great caramelized, but they can obviously be used in many ways, in classic salads or with pasta, or baked stuffed.

You can also bake them at 320°F for about an hour and a half.
