Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp fresh yeast
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2/3 cup raisins
- 2/3 cup candied fruits
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 lemon zest
Steps
Dissolve the yeast in 1/4 cup of water and mix with 1/3 cup of flour, let rest in a bowl covered with plastic wrap and let rest for about an hour.
Melt the butter and let it cool, then after the resting time, put the flour in a bowl, add the starter dough, honey, sugar, stir and add the eggs one at a time while continuing to knead.
Add the salt, raisins, candied fruits, grated lemon zest, and knead well.
Form a ball and let it rest on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it rest until doubled, about 2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake for about 45-50 minutes.
