Delicious mozzarella and tomato swirls, they are perfect when you don’t have much time, everyone will definitely love them, adults and children alike, they are ideal for birthday parties.

The recipe for mozzarella and tomato swirls is very simple: just roll out the pastry and fill it with your chosen ingredients, you can eat them one after another with real pleasure.

Of course, you can fill the swirls as you prefer, great with cooked ham, spinach, speck, tuna, as you like or with whatever you have in the fridge, puff pastry is perfect for creating lots of ideas in a few minutes, both sweet and savory.

Needless to say, they disappeared immediately, I usually prepare them for birthday parties, they are perfect to serve as an appetizer, they can be made in advance and frozen.

Quick Mozzarella and Tomato Swirls

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry
  • 6 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 3 oz mozzarella

Steps

  • Take the puff pastry out of the fridge at least 10 minutes before using it and then prick it with a fork.

  • Fill it with tomato sauce and smoked provolone cut into pieces or grated with a coarse grater.

  • Roll up the pastry and cut it into swirls, then place them on a baking sheet lined with paper, bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15 minutes.
