Nutella Christmas Wreath.

Christmas is without a doubt my favorite time: I love the festive table setting, the soft lights, and the cozy atmosphere created at home. During these days, I love preparing simple and quick desserts that can be made in advance, so I can leisurely enjoy everything else.

The Nutella Christmas Wreath is one of those recipes that immediately wins you over: it can be made in just a few minutes, is perfect to make with children, and the result is both scenic and elegant, despite its incredible simplicity. All it takes is a roll of puff pastry, or rather two, a bit of hazelnut cream, and the magic takes shape.

With this Nutella Christmas Wreath, we’ll bring a dessert to the table that everyone will agree on: easy to make, beautiful to look at, and irresistible at the first bite. Perfect to end a festive lunch or for a special snack, it also lends itself to small decorations and delicious variations.

Let’s prepare it in advance, let the aroma of freshly baked puff pastry envelop us, and enjoy the magic of Christmas with our loved ones.

Nutella Christmas Wreath
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Cheap
  • Preparation time: 20 Minutes
  • Portions: 1Piece
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Christmas, New Year

Ingredients

  • 2 rolls puff pastry
  • 4 tablespoons Nutella®
  • 1 egg yolk

Tools

  • Brush
  • Bowl
  • Baking tray
  • Cookie cutter

Steps

  • Unroll the first roll of puff pastry and spread the Nutella, distributing it evenly over the entire surface. Cover with the second roll, sealing the edges.

Take a star-shaped cookie cutter and cut out as many stars as possible.

Place the stars on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, creating a large circle and slightly overlapping the tips.

With the leftover puff pastry, create a strip and form the wreath’s loop.

Beat the egg yolk and brush the surface of the stars, so they become golden during baking.

Bake at 356°F (180°C), static oven, for 20–25 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and golden.

  • Let it cool slightly and transfer the wreath to a serving plate. If desired, decorate with powdered sugar or small Christmas decorations to make it even more scenic.

    Merry Christmas!
