Monstrous Puff Pastry with Nutella and Amaretti
I love any holiday or celebration: they are always the perfect occasion for me to rush to the kitchen and prepare a themed dessert!
This time, I had fun with a Monstrous Puff Pastry with Nutella and Amaretti, simple, quick, and super delicious. Few ingredients, an irresistible aroma, and a crispy braid that hides a creamy heart of Nutella and crushed amaretti. A monstrously good treat, perfect to amaze everyone in just a few minutes!
And then… trick or treat? I definitely choose the treat, but only if it’s as monstrously good as this one!

Ingredients
- 1 roll puff pastry (rectangular)
- 4 tablespoons Nutella®
- 1.76 oz amaretti
- 1 egg yolk
- to taste sugar decorations (Halloween decorations)
- to taste powdered sugar
Tools

- Knife
- Small Bowl
- Brush
- Parchment Paper
Steps
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Unroll the puff pastry and cut a central rectangle to use as a base. Set aside the scraps for decorative strips.
Spread the Nutella in the center of the rectangle, leaving the edges free. Crumble the amaretti on top with your hands.
From the leftover pastry, cut strips and place them over the filling to form a lattice.
Fold the edges of the pastry inward and seal well.
Brush the surface with beaten egg yolk to make it golden during baking and bake at 356°F in a preheated static oven for about 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is well puffed and golden.
Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
Our Monstrous Puff Pastry with Nutella and Amaretti is ready. Before serving, sprinkle the surface with powdered sugar and decorate with themed sugar decorations for Halloween.
