Sweet Potato Slices with Avocado Cream – Quick Appetizer

The sweet potato slices with avocado cream are a quick appetizer and showy, ready in just 20 minutes. A very simple but truly amazing recipe, perfect when you want to bring something tasty, colorful, and light to the table without wasting time.
I often make them because they cook in no time: just cut the sweet potato into slices, season it, and bake it. Meanwhile, blend the avocado and it’s done. Very soft inside, slightly crispy outside, and with that green cream that wins you over at the first taste.

Even the picky one at home, my son, liked it, with whom I fought to have a few more slices to devour!!!!! THESE KIDS, EH???

Ingredients

  • 1 sweet potato (large)
  • 1 avocado (well ripe)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • to taste chili flakes (in flakes for me)

Steps

  • Peel and cut the sweet potato into slices about 0.4 inches thick.
    Then arrange each circle on a baking tray, brush with oil, salt, and pepper.

  • Bake at 392°F for 20 minutes in static mode.

    Once cooked, let cool.

    For the avocado cream, mash the avocado in a bowl, adding lemon, salt, and pepper.

    Mix well combining the ingredients into a smooth but not too much sauce.

  • Put a spoonful of avocado cream on each slice or put it in a piping bag with a star nozzle (for me) and put a tuft on each sweet potato slice.

    Add a pinch of chili flakes and serve at the table.

    The flavors balance and complement each other, and the result is a finger food that is definitely good!
