QUICK CARNIVAL DOUGHNUTS WITH ORANGE without leavening and easy, ready in a few minutes, perfect dessert for the holidays.
Simple and quick to prepare, the Carnival doughnuts are a delight, enjoyable to eat, fried and delicious, orange-scented, one leads to another.
Like all Carnival fried treats, these doughnuts are a real delight, they can be made both by hand and with a food processor; I used a mixer, fry them and eat them, but if you wish, you can also bake them.
The recipe for the Carnival doughnuts is very simple, there is no leavening, but if you want, you can use yeast and make small brioche-like treats; obviously if you have time.
I love them, they are enjoyable to eat and like all Carnival fried treats, they are unfortunately unhealthy, we barely finished Christmas, and we’re already into another rich and calorie-laden holiday.
Follow me in the kitchen today; there are orange Carnival doughnuts!

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- Half teaspoon instant yeast for savory preparations
- 3 1/2 tbsp orange juice
- 3 1/2 tbsp water (or 1 egg)
- 2 tbsp sugar
Preparation
P.s. The egg and sugar are optional; the recipe works well without them.
Pour the flour into a mixer with the yeast, add the orange juice, water or 1 egg, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
Blend everything, then pour the dough onto a work surface, knead it a little by hand, and divide it into 8-10 pieces.
Form thin loaves and close them by overlapping the two ends.
Heat the oil in a deep fryer or a high-sided pan and fry, turning them for about 5 minutes.
Bon appétit
