Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.28 oz fresh yeast
  • 5.5 tbsp butter
  • 0.85 cup milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 0.35 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

Preparation

  • Dissolve the yeast in the milk and pour it into the mixer.

  • Add the flour and start the machine with the K hook.

  • Add the salt, one egg yolk, sugar with the machine running, and the softened butter in pieces.

  • Work the dough and if needed add more milk or flour, the important thing is that the dough should not be creamy or too soft.

  • Place it in a bowl to rise until doubled in size, covered with plastic wrap, for about 5-6 hours.

  • After rising, roll out the dough and cut it into 10 rectangles or as you prefer if you want them larger or smaller.

  • Fill with jam and roll, then slightly close the ends to prevent the jam from leaking out.

  • Let rest for 20 minutes on the baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  • Brush with the egg yolk, preheat the oven to 350°F (fan oven) and bake for about 15 minutes.
