Grandma’s desserts are always good, right? The spoon cookies are delicious, perfect for breakfast to dip in milk, great for a snack if you’re looking for a sweet to accompany your tea.
A simple and quick recipe that can easily be made by hand and without a mixer, the classic butter-free cookies great for dunking in milk or just eating as a snack.
You place them on the baking sheet with a spoon, you won’t even dirty your hands by mixing with a spoon, very convenient, even kids can make them.
Of course, my spoon cookies are simple like the typical grandma’s cookies but they can be enriched by adding, for example, chocolate chips, raisins, or nuts. HERE you will find many cookie recipes.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch baking ammonia (or 1 teaspoon of baking powder)
- 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- Half lemon zest (grated)
- 1/8 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
Preparation
Pour the flour with the ammonia or baking powder into a bowl, add the sugar, egg, and oil.
Mix well, add the grated lemon zest, milk, and mix again, you will get a sort of cream, add more milk if needed.
With the help of a spoon, take a walnut-sized amount of dough and make little heaps on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Space them apart and then bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (fan-forced) and bake for 10-15 minutes until they turn golden.
