The recipe for oregano and olive braids is perfect if you like bites, they can be prepared by hand or with a machine, and they are yeast and wine-free; they disappear quickly.

Oregano and olive braids quick snacks

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 23 black olives
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste oregano

Instructions

  • Pour the flour into a bowl, add the oil and water, mix a little with a spoon.

  • Pit 7 olives, chop them, and add them to the flour, also add oregano and a bit of salt.

  • Knead well, and if necessary, add more water.

  • Move to the work surface, knead the dough well, and divide it into 6 pieces.

  • Form rolls as thick as a finger, about 10 inches long, fold them in half and twist them together.

  • Insert 3 olives into each braid, sprinkle with oregano, and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F and cook for 20-25 minutes, check the cooking and extend if necessary.

  • The inside should be well dry and crispy.
