A simple and delicious dessert to make, the amaretti and berry jam tart is delightful, great as a dessert for breakfast or as a snack with tea.
The recipe for the amaretti and jam tart is quite quick, you prepare the shortcrust, roll it out and fill it, of course, the basic shortcrust can be made by hand or with a food processor.
I used my favorite berry jam but, of course, any jam you have at home is perfect.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 9 tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- lemon zest
- jam
- 20 amaretti (approximately)
Preparation
Pour the flour into a mixer, add the sugar, the egg, the grated lemon zest, and the butter in pieces.
Blend everything then take the mixture and work it on a floured surface quickly to compact it.
Divide it into two parts, roll them out thinly, about 1/16 inch, and place half in a 8-9 inch tart pan
Fill with the jam you prefer then add the amaretti in concentric circles.
Cover everything with the other half of the dough and poke with a fork near the cookies.
Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F and cook for 23-30 minutes, until the crust is golden.
Remove from oven, let cool, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
