The recipe for panettone with custard and mascarpone doesn’t need much explanation, it was born from the need to use up some leftover Christmas sweets.

Of course, you can always use pandoro or choose those without raisins and candied fruit that not everyone likes.

Panettone with Custard and Mascarpone

Ingredients

  • 14 oz Mascarpone
  • 9 oz Custard
  • 2 slices Panettone
  • Raisins

Preparation

  • Prepare the basic custard HERE, then let it cool covered with plastic wrap directly in contact in the fridge.

  • When ready, put the mascarpone in a bowl and add some of the custard.

  • Start working with a spoon or fork and gradually add the remaining custard.

  • I didn’t add sugar to the mascarpone but if you prefer, you can add a couple of tablespoons.

  • When the cream is ready, cut the panettone into pieces and place some on the bottom of a baking dish or individual cups.

  • Make a layer of mousse, pieces of cake, and more mousse until the ingredients are used up.

  • If you like, you can add raisins to the cream.

  • Put in the fridge and let set for about half an hour.
